ABOUT THE PROJECT
Intro en
Prototipo is a magazine created for "La Panoramica", a big event in Genoa which brings all the major Italian players in the car design, automotive and mobility fields.
I've had the pleasure to curate the editorial as well as the creative direction of the project.
The aim of the magazine is to offer a view on the past while also designing the future of the automotive and urbanist sectors. The name "Prototipo" is not randomly chosen, but it refers to the importance of prototypes in human history. Sometimes these inventions turned out to be impossible to build or major commercial flops. At the same time many of these unique inventions resulted fundamental in the realization of other machines or urbanistic techniques, or to set new aesthetic canons.

Prototipo è una rivista creata per "La Panoramica", un grande evento che riunisce a Genova tutti i principali protagonisti italiani del car design, dell'automotive e della mobilità.
Ho avuto il piacere di curare la direzione editoriale e creativa del progetto.
L'obiettivo della rivista è quello di offrire uno sguardo sul passato e di gettare uno sguardo al futuro del settore automobilistico e urbanistico. Il nome "Prototipo" non è stato scelto a caso, ma si riferisce all'importanza dei prototipi nella storia dell'uomo. A volte queste invenzioni si sono rivelate impossibili da costruire o grandi flop commerciali. Allo stesso tempo, molte di queste idee singolari sono risultate fondamentali per la realizzazione di altre macchine o tecniche urbanistiche, oppure per stabilire nuovi canoni estetici.
Senza prototipi non c'è futuro. Sono testimonianze della creatività umana e della capacità di popolare il mondo che ci circonda. È un discorso essenziale su questioni di estetica, innovazione e sostenibilità. In altre parole, la nostra stessa esistenza e il modo in cui vogliamo plasmarla.
